What is the Onalaska Alliance for Sustainable Community?​
 The Onalaska Alliance for Sustainable Community is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit established in 2009 whose mission is to develop innovative and sustainable economic and educational opportunities compatible with rural life in the Onalaska area and surrounding areas, to unite people of diverse backgrounds to reduce poverty, to enhance and cultivate cultural and natural resources, develop alliances with surrounding communities, and promote the common goals of community and celebration.

Onalaska Alliance is dedicated to building a sustainable community and making Onalaska a better place to live and play. We do this by:
  • Creating community spaces like Carlisle Lake and the Thomas J. Kinsman Veteran's Memorial Park
  • Enhancing natural and cultural resources
  • Creating community celebrations: Easter Egg Hunt and Apple Harvest Festival
  • Community action: youth scholarship, community dinners, holiday baskets and a relief fund
  • Creating partnerships with community groups
  • Partnering with Onalaska School District STEM program (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math)
  • Supporting Lewis County Tourism
